OUR DOGS No farm would be complete without a few dogs running around... we have 3. Our dogs are a very special part of our family. ~~~~~~~~  Bruno was an important part of our family for almost 11 years. He was our "security system" for our home. We felt very protected with Bruno watching over us. Sadly he died in May 09 from kidney complications. He will always be remembered and missed dearly by all who loved him.  ~~~~~~~~ Lexi loves watching over our homestead...she takes great pride in it! But she is much too sweet to be of any threat to man or predator. We have Lexi here with us as our companion. We adore her for her loving personality. ~~~~~~~~ This is Merry our LGD as a pup when she first arrived here. She is now all grown and protects our herd like a true LGD should. She wards off coyotes, dogs, and any other predator that should not be near her herd. She is a great friend and farmhand. ~~~~~~~~ Ozzie is our Aussie pup. He is our newest addition to Laurel Haven. We got him in May 09 at only 3 months old. Ozzie has fit in wonderfully. He is very smart and a quick learner. From day one he has been absolutely incredible around the goats. We are very impressed with his natural livestock intuition, skills & abilities. ~~~~~~~~   OUR CATS And then of course you must have a few cats... we have 3. Mr. Kittles has been with us for the past 6 years. He pretty much has the run of the place. Our cat "Mr. Kittles" can always be found lying around wasting the day away. As you can see, Mr. Kittles is an indoor/outdoor cat. ~~~~~~~~ Raven & Wednesday are two precious kittens that we recently got for our daughters. They are so sweet...  ~~~~~~~~ This silhouette is of Wednesday. Isn't she as lovely as the rose in the picture. ~~~~~~~~ Our Kitties in their Halloween costumes! ~~~~~~~~ This is "Spaz" our rooster. He thinks he runs the farm.  We have 2 Sussex hens that give us some nice large brown eggs! And we have 2 Barred Rock hens that give us even more brown eggs... This funny looking chicken is called a Golden Polish, we just like the looks of this bird! ~~~~~~~~
